Rules - Cross Country
All series races are USA Cycling sanctioned. A license is required for all expert, semi-pro and pro riders. Licenses are optional for beginners and sports. However, a $5 unattached fee will be added to all non-NORBA licensed entrants. Beginners and sports holding a NORBA license will not have to pay the $5 surcharge.
Series points will be awarded to the top 10 riders in each category and classification. Every race will count toward the series championship and three scores will be dropped. NO DOUBLE POINTS THIS YEAR! If a rider misses an event, it will be counted as not finishing the race and the rider will score a zero for that event.
The Holiday Farm Marathon race participants will not be awarded series points
Riders must attend over 50% of the scheduled point events to qualify for a series award. Everyone’s points will be counted for a placing regardless of the number of races entered.

Points must stay in the category they were earned in. For example, if a rider upgrades from beginner to sport throughout the series, points earned as a beginner will not be applied to the sport series championship.
The rider who earns the most points in the series for their class and category will be awarded the series title. In the event of a tie, the rider who placed higher in the last event will be the series winner.
Your racing age will be your age on 12/31/2007
All disputes, protests, and scoring issues will be resolved with the USA Cycling officials on race day. It is the riders’ responsibility to verify his/her finishing position at the end of each event. Any and all problems should be addressed before the protest period expires after the final results are posted at the end of each race. All results will be final after the protest period.
Individual race results, series
points, and updates will be posted on the Race
Results page.
Series points will be displayed
in paper format at each event.
