Location: Wompatuck State Park, Hingham, MA

Course Description:  A "don't miss" race.  Not only is it the Root 66 Series finale, it is also the longest single-lap course in the series.  This race features a one-loop course: 6 miles for first timers, 11 miles for Cat 3 (beginner) and 25 miles for Pro/Cat 1/Cat 2.  We also offer a marathon option where you do two 25 mile laps.

Almost entirely on singletrack, this race showcases a great deal of what Womatuck has to offer trail-wise as well as some of the historic features of the park (including bunkers, blasting walls, etc.) from when the park was used as a military compound.  Over the 25 miles you will encounter almost every type of trail situation-rocks, roots, berms, pavement(minimal), fast and slow trails, etc.  Thsi course takes you through the best of New England mountain biking!

An annual USA Cycling license is required by all Pro and Cat 1 racers.  Cat 2 and Cat 3 racers without an annual license will be charged a $5 one day USA Cycling membership fee.

Directions:  Wompatuck State Park is located near Hingham on Boston's South Shore.  From the South and Cape Cod:  Rte 3 North to Exit 14 and the intersection with Rte 228.  Follow Rte 228 North approx. 5 miles to Free St. on the right.  Turn right onto Free St. one mile to the park entrance on the right.  The camping area is 1.5 miles into the park on the right.  From the North:  Follow Rte 2 South to exit 14 and the intersection with Rte 228.  Follow Rte 228 North aprrox. 5 miles to the intersection with Free St. on the right.  Turn right onto Free St. and follow it one mile to the park entrance on the right.
